- 1/2 c. mandarin juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. mandarin peel, chopped
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine mandarin juice, mandarin peel, lemon juice, sugar and beaten egg yolks in a saucepan.

2Cook, stirring constantly, over a low flame until thick.

3Remove sauce from the burner, let cool a little.

4Whip the egg whites until stiff, add salt.

5Fold egg whites into the sauce, add vanilla.

6Serve over pound cake or fresh fruit.

7This sauce can be served warm or cold.
