Fluffy Waffle Roll Cake

- 1 large Egg
- 3 tbsp Granulated sugar
- 80 ml Milk
- 70 grams Cake flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 40 grams Unsalted butter
- 1 few drops Vanilla extract
- 1 dash Vegetable oil or unsalted butter
- 150 ml Heavy cream
- 1 heaping tablespoon Granulated sugar
- 1 Strawberries
Directions

1Preparation: Bring the egg and milk to room temperature.

2Melt the butter in a microwave or in a double boiler.

3Preheat the waffle maker.

4In a bowl, lightly beat the egg.

5Add the sugar and beat until thickened with a whisk.

6Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix well.

7Mix together the flour and baking powder, and sift into the wet mixture.

8Mix until smooth.

9Add the melted butter and quickly mix everything together.

10Lightly grease the hot waffle maker with vegetable oil or unsalted butter.

11Pour in the batter from step 3 and completely fill the mold up to the edges.

12Then close the lid.

13This process needs to happen quickly.

14Caution: Two waffles must be connected, so the dough must be poured in the compartment between them.

15If you pour in too much, it'll overflow, so be careful.

16Cook for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.

17Carefully take it out of the mold without ripping and wrap it in plastic wrap right away.

18Let it cool.

19If you are in a hurry, you can put it in the refrigerator.

20Note: To keep the dough moist, you must wrap it securely with plastic wrap as soon as it is finished cooking.

21Finely chop the strawberries into 5 mm cubes.

22Add the heavy cream to the sugar and whip.

23Stop whisking just before stiff peaks form.

24Lay out the plastic wrap that you used to wrap the waffle.

25Place the waffle on top and layer with heavy cream.

26Top with the strawberries.

27Use less topping towards the end of the roll.

28Roll the waffle away from you with quite a bit of pressure.

29Face the end of the roll downwards, wrap it again with plastic wrap, and put it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.

30Remove the plastic wrap.

31Trim off both ends and it is done!
