- 4 cups white flour OR whole wheat flour
- 1-3/4 cups vegetable shortening
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup water
Directions

1With fork mix together first four ingredients.

2In separate dish beat remaining ingredients; combine the two mixtures, stirring with fork until all ingredients are moistened.

3With hands, mold dough into a ball.

4Chill at least 15 minutes before rolling. Dough can be left in refrigerator up to two weeks or can be frozen. Makes five 9-inch shells.
