Forgotten Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. short ribs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce or 1 bottle tomato catsup
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onions
  • 1 tsp. liquid smoke (if desired)

Directions

    Salt and pepper ribs.

    Put in Dutch oven.

    In small pan combine remaining ingredients.

    Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Pour over short ribs.

    Cover and bake at 275° for 4 hours or until tender.

    Spoon off excess fat prior to serving.
