Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. pinto beans
  • 1/2 c. navy beans
  • 1/4 c. split peas
  • 1/4 c. lentils
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. summer savory
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 Tbsp. parsley, dried
  • 1/2 Tbsp. chives, dried
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. blended tomatoes

Directions

    Place all ingredients, except tomatoes, in a large pot.

    Add 5 cups water.

    Bring to a boil, and then lower the heat to a simmer. Cook until beans are soft.

    Add tomatoes and more water to desired consistency.

    Salt to taste.
