    Add vanilla. Resift flour

    powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add these to butter mixture with milk and beat until smooth.

    Beat egg

    whites until

    stiff;

    Fold egg whites into batter.

    Bake

    in 3 greased and floured cake pans at 350° for 30 minutes.
