- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 8 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 lb. pecan halves
- 2 lb. white raisins
- 1/2 lb. candied whole cherries
- 1/2 lb. candied pineapple, cut in chunks
- 2 oz. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar well.

2Add eggs, one at a time, mixing.

3Sift about 1 cup of the flour over fruits and nuts, tossing to coat well.

4To remaining flour, add baking powder. Stir into creamed mixture.

5Stir in lemon extract, then add fruit-nut mixture.

6Grease, then line with brown paper, a deep tube pan and a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

7Lightly grease the paper. Spread batter into the 2 pans.
