Frankfurters Spanish Style

  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 c. rice (uncooked)
  • dash of thyme
  • 1 lb. frankfurters
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, cut in strips
  • 8 slices bacon

Directions

    Cook rice in large quantity salted water; drain.

    Combine soup and rice in baking dish.

    Add dash of thyme.

    Split frankfurters; spread with mustard, then insert strips of cheese.

    Wrap with bacon.

    Place frankfurters on top of rice mixture.

    Bake in moderate oven, 375°, for about 30 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Makes 4 generous servings.
