Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 to 7 c. flour
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add salt, margarine and enough flour to make stiff dough.

3Knead in enough additional flour until smooth dough.

4Cover; let rise until double.

5Punch down; let rise again.

6Shape into 2 long rolls (jelly roll fashion, tuck ends under).

7Place on greased cookie sheet.

8Let raise until double (watch this dough raises quickly).

9Bake at 450° for 20 to 25 minutes.

10After baking, brush with mixture of 1 egg white and 1 tablespoon water for shiny crust or brush with margarine for soft crust.
