  • 20 eggs
  • 20 loaves bread
  • 56 qt. evaporated milk
  • 56 qt. water

Directions

    Slice, cut bread into 3/8-inch slices.

    Dip into egg and milk mixture, just long enough to wet the slices.

    Drain off excess milk then drop slices into deep cooking oil (340° to 350°) and fry until bread becomes slightly browned.
