French Cabbage Casserole

  • 1 medium size head cabbage
  • 1 to 2 bell peppers
  • 3/4 c. celery, chopped
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 c. sweet cream
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. butter or oil

    Quarter cabbage and cook in small amount of water until tender, then pour off any water left on it.

    Chop fine.

    Saute celery, bell peppers (chopped) and garlic in

    to 2 tablespoons butter or oil, slowly, until tender (about 30 minutes). Add this to finely chopped

    pour in cream and grated cheese.

    into buttered casserole. Sprinkle grated bread crumbs on top.
