- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
- powdered sugar, for topping
Directions

1dissolve cocoa into hot water; let cool while you prepare other ingredients.

2cream butter and sugar well.

3add flour, sour cream, baking soda, salt and vanilla.

4add cocoa mixture.

5fold in egg whites.

6pour into greased 9x13 pan.

7bake at 350° dor 15 minutes.

8lower oven to 325° nd bake for an additional 20 minutes or until tests clean.
