  • 3 c. apples, chopped
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped fine (optional)

Directions

    Mix Wesson oil, sugar and eggs; beat until smooth.

    Slowly sift in flour, soda, salt and baking powder, mixing thoroughly, at moderate speed.

    Add vanilla, 1 cup pecans (optional) and coarsely chopped apples.

    Bake in greased and floured pan, at 350°, for about 1 hour or until done.
