  • 4 c. sliced apples
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 3/4 c. cooking oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts

    Pour sugar over apples and let stand at least 2 hours (forms liquid for mix).

    Combine all ingredients; mix well.

    Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan, greased and floured.

    Bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
