  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 c. flour, sifted with 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 c. raw chopped apples
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans or black walnuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Directions

    Mix ingredients in order given and pour into greased 12 3/4 x 9-inch tube pan.

    Bake at 325° or 350° for 1 hour.

    Allow cake to remain in tube pan for 1 hour.

    Cover warm cake with following glaze.
