Ingredients

  • 3 c. apples (raw), chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Peel apples, chop and set aside.

    Pour all Crisco oil into large bowl.

    Add sugar and eggs; beat well.

    Sift flour with salt, soda and baking powder.

    Gradually add flour and creamed mixture. Add vanilla, gently fold in apples and pecans.

    Pour into a well Pamed 10-inch angel food cake pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done.

    When cool, remove and drizzle with following glaze.
