  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 1/4 c. flour (unsifted)
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • nuts and brown sugar (for topping)

Directions

    Cream sugars and margarine; stir in eggs.

    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.

    Add apples and pour into oiled 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Sprinkle liberally with nuts and brown sugar. Bake 45 minutes at 325°.
