- 6 c. apples, thinly sliced (about 2 lb.)
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. Wesson oil
- 1 double crust
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Prepare apples.

3Combine dry ingredients; mix with apples to coat.

4Put into pastry lined 9-inch pie pan. Drizzle with Wesson oil.

5Cover with top crust and cut slits for steam to escape.

6Make high-fluted rim.

7Bake 35 to 45 minutes, until nicely browned and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.
