- two crust pastry
- 4 c. sour cherries
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Line a 9 or 10-inch pie plate with pastry.

2Pit the cherries. Combine the cherries, flour, sugar and salt.

3Fill crust with fruit mixture and dot with butter.

4Cover with top crust and pierce holes in the center.

5Pinch the crust firmly together and crimp edges. Bake in a 450° oven for 10 minutes and then at 350° for 40 minutes longer.

6Cool to warm and serve.
