- 2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 c. coconut
- 7 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- whipping cream
Directions

1Bring 1/2 cup milk to boil.

2Add sugar and cornstarch to egg yolk mixture and rest of milk.

3Add this to hot milk and cook until thick in top of double boiler, stirring constantly.

4Add the butter, salt and vanilla.

5Pour in a prebaked and cooled pie shell.

6Cool and cover with whipped cream and sprinkle with coconut.
