- 6 c. fresh pears, pared, cored and sliced
- 1/3 c. Mrs. Butterworth's syrup
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 c. uncooked oatmeal
- 1/2 c. margarine or 1/2 c. plain yogurt
- 1 tsp. lemon peel
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1In a large bowl, combine pear slices, syrup, lemon juice and peel and cinnamon.

2Mix well.

3Put in 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Stir together flour, oatmeal and nutmeg.

4With a pastry cutter, cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

5Sprinkle over pears.

6Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until pears are tender.
