- 3 lemons
- 1 c. sugar (about)
- 12 to 14 ice cubes
- water to make 1 1/2 quarts
Directions

1Scrub lemons; roll on counter to soften slightly.

2Trim ends. Cut fruit into very thin slices; discard seeds.

3Place slices in a wide bottomed pitcher.

4Cover with sugar.

5Let stand until sugar starts to dissolve; press with a wooden spoon to hasten process. Add ice cubes and water; stir.

6Strain into glass.

7Makes 6 to 8 servings.
