  • 5 cups sliced peaches
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pie shell unbaked, and top crust for pie

    Peel and slice peaches.

    Add sugar, flour, spice and salt. Mix lightly.

    Pour this into the unbaked pie shell and dot with butter.

    Top the pie with top crust and crimp the edges.

    Decorate top of pie with shapes and slits.

    Bake in 400 degrees oven for 40-45 minutes or until brown and bubbling through slits.

    Serve warm with ice cream or whipping cream.
