Ingredients
- 1 fresh green chili (may substitute 1 small can chopped chilies)
- 2 fresh ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 green onions (tops and bulbs), chopped
- 1/2 tsp. fresh or dried cilantro
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. tomato sauce or catsup
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2If using fresh chili, wash green chili but do not cut it.

3Place whole chili on baking sheet and roast for about 15 minutes or until chili begins to soften.

4Remove from oven, cool and slice the chili.

5Discard the seeds.

6Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender.

7Process or blend just until all ingredients are finely chopped.

8Do not puree. Chill and serve.
