- 2 large ripe tomatoes (1 lb.), cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 medium white onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. chopped cilantro or parsley
- 1 tsp. dried marjoram or oregano
- 2 Tbsp. finely diced, seeded jalapeno peppers (optional)
- 3 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt or salt substitute
Directions

1In a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients.

2Let stand at room temperature at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

3Cover and refrigerate for longer storage.

4Return to room temperature before serving.
