  • 4 or 5 bacon slices
  • 8 to 9 medium tart apples
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c. water

    Cook bacon until crisp.

    Peel and slice apples.

    Put in pan with bacon grease.

    Cook, covered, until nearly tender.

    Add water and finish cooking.
