- 6 cooking apples, quartered and cored, but not peeled
- 1/4 c. butter
- brown sugar
Directions

1Melt butter in heavy pan.

2Place apples, skin side down, in pan.

3Sprinkle generously with sugar.

4Add a little water.

5Cover and cook very slowly until tender and candied.

6Eat them hot. Makes 6 servings.
