- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. shortening
Directions

1Sift flour with baking powder and salt.

2Cut in shortening until the particles are fine.

3Add milk all at once.

4Stir until dough clings together.

5Heat 8-inch skillet with 1 tablespoon shortening. Turn down to simmer and spread dough evenly over skillet.

6Cover and cook for 10 minutes, then turn and cook for another 10 minutes.

7Watch so as not to burn.

8Serve hot with butter and jelly.
