- 1 large head cabbage or 2 medium
- 2 medium onions or 2 large (according to your liking)
- 1 lb. bacon (lean)
- salt and pepper to taste

1Cut cabbage in quarters.

2Remove core; shred.

3In heavy skillet or Dutch oven, slice pre-frozen bacon into cubes.

4Place in cold skillet and fry uncovered until transparent.

5Put some of the sliced onion on top of bacon, then add some of the shredded cabbage; toss after approximately 5 minutes.
