Fried Cabbage And Macaroni

  • 2 small to 1 large head cabbage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • Crisco oil
  • margarine
  • 3 c. macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 stick butter

Directions

    Shred cabbage, salt and let stand for 15 minutes.

    Saute onion in a large skillet with vegetable oil and margarine.

    Fry until slightly browned.

    Squeeze out excess water from cabbage and add to onion in skillet.

    Stir together and fry until brown.

    Add cooked macaroni to skillet; stir together.
  7. 7
    Brown 1/2 stick of butter in skillet, pour over mixture and serve.

    Excellent reheated the next day.
