- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 4 medium green tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
Directions

1Mix flour, sugar, salt and pepper on waxed paper.

2Coat slices with flour mixture.

3Melt 1 tablespoon margarine in large skillet over medium heat.

4Add tomatoes in a single layer.

5Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until lightly browned and just barely tender. Remove to serving platter.

6Repeat with remaining margarine and tomatoes.

7Serves 4.
