- 4 large green tomatoes, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 Tbsp. bacon fat
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Wash tomatoes and slice.

2Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.

3Heat the bacon fat in a frying pan.

4When the bacon fat is hot, add the tomatoes and brown on both sides.

5As the tomato slices are done, remove to a serving platter.

6Sprinkle with sugar and dot with butter.
