- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 medium-size green tomatoes, sliced 1/2-inch thick
Directions

1Mix flour, sugar, salt and pepper on a piece of waxed paper. Coat tomato slices with flour mixture.

2Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

3Add tomatoes in a single layer. Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until lightly browned and just barely tender.

4Remove to serving platter.

5Repeat with remaining butter and tomatoes.
