- green tomatoes
- brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 c. flour
- salt
- oil
- pepper
Directions

1Slice green tomatoes to 1/4-inch thickness.

2Sprinkle with salt, pepper and brown sugar.

3In one bowl, beat eggs and add milk.

4In another bowl, combine cornmeal and flour.

5Dip tomatoes in egg mixture and then coat with cornmeal/flour mixture.

6Heat oil in skillet and brown tomatoes on both sides.

7Make sure the oil is hot enough before you begin frying.
