  • Morels (fresh)
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Flour
  • Salted water

Directions

    -Fill a large bowl or sink with water just warm enough to dissolve salt.

    -Add 1 to 2 cups salt to water and dissolve

    -Brush dirt off morels and trim stems
  4. 4
    -Add morels to water and soak briefly. Ideally, this should drive any bugs from the crevices. Do not leave morels long enough to become waterlogged

    -Remove morels from water and slice in half
  6. 6
    -Melt butter in large pan for frying
  7. 7
    -Dredge halved morels in lightly salted flour
  8. 8
    -Fry in butter until browned, remove to paper towel-lined plate
  9. 9
    -Serve hot
