- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- dried basil or thyme
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine
Directions

1Dip mushrooms into beaten egg.

2Coat mushrooms with bread crumbs seasoned with salt and pepper, basil or thyme.

3Cook mushrooms and onion in butter in skillet, turning occasionally, until mushrooms are tender and golden brown, 7 to 8 minutes.
