- 1 muskrat, dressed
- salt and pepper
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. ketchup
Directions

1Cut the muskrat into serving size pieces and soak in salted water overnight.

2Place the meat in a pot, add 1 quart of water, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion.

3Cook about 1 hour.

4Brown meat in vegetable oil.

5Pour ketchup seasoned with 1 teaspoon garlic powder over the meat.

6Add some water and simmer about 30 minutes.
