  • 2 c. okra
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 c. flour or cracker meal
  • 2 c. vegetable oil

Directions

    Salt and pepper okra to taste.

    Mix egg and milk.

    Dip okra into mixture and dust lightly with flour or cracker meal.

    Place floured or mealed okra on cookie sheet.

    Heat oil (375°) to bubbling (important!) in skillet or electric frypan before adding okra.

    Oil should cover okra.

    Fry until golden brown.

    Drain in colander or on paper towels.
