- sprinkle desired amount black pepper
- small amount salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Peel and slice long ways.

2Put butter or bacon grease in skillet.

3Sprinkle with black pepper, a little salt and 1/2 cup of sugar.

4Add just a little water (1/4 cup or less).

5Let cook until brown, turn over and cook until tender or done.
