- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Mix cinnamon with fruit.

3Combine flour, baking powder, salt, shortening and milk.

5Turn onto lightly floured surface.

6Knead about 10 times.

7Break dough into 15 to 18 balls.

8Roll each ball about 1/2-inch thick.

9Cut in 6-inch circles.

10Place about 3 tablespoons fruit on circle.

11Fold in half.

12Press edges together.

13Fry in deep fat until brown.
