- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 large can evaporated cream
- fruit of choice
Directions

1Mix flour, baking powder, salt and shortening until fine.

2Mix eggs with cream; combine with flour mixture.

3Beat until stretchy. Refrigerate overnight.

4Roll out circles, using a small saucer as guide.

5Fill with fruit which has been cooked, sweetened, thickened and set overnight.

6Wet over filling; press with fork tines around edges.

7Fry in deep oil until golden brown.
