  • 4 cup vegetable oil
  • 8 pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch celery seeds
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour

    heat oil in a deep skillet to 350F

    season pork chops on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic, cayenne and celery seeds

    pour over milk to coat both sides

    place flour in a shallow dish.

    dip pork chops into flour and coat well

    using tongs, gently lower chops into skillet.

    fry 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.

    transfer chops to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
