Ingredients

  • 4 c. cooked rice
  • 3/4 lb. chicken, pork or shrimp
  • 3 or 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 or 5 jalapeno peppers, remove seeds and cut fine
  • 3 Tbsp. canola or peanut oil
  • 1 c. broccoli
  • 1 c. cauliflower
  • 1/2 sweet bell pepper
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 1 can bamboo shoots
  • 1 small handful of snow peas
  • 1 pkg. fried rice seasoning

Directions

    Heat oil in wok (low); add garlic and jalapeno for 2 minutes. This is to season the oil.

    Raise temperature to high and add meat.

    Stir-fry until done (approximately 3 minutes).

    Add veggies and stir-fry until tender.

    If you cook too long, they will be soggy.

    Mix the package of seasoning with a small amount of soy sauce, oyster sauce and Worcestershire.

    Add mixed seasoning to wok and stir in thoroughly.

    Stir in the cooked rice and it is ready to serve.

    Rice can also be served separate from the veggies.
