  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 3 Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 4 c. squash or okra, sliced

Directions

    Mix corn meal, self-rising flour, cornstarch and seasoned salt in gallon size Ziploc bag.

    Place sliced okra or squash in bowl. Beat water and egg together.

    Pour over vegetables.

    Mix. Drain. Put vegetables in bag and shake well.

    Drop in hot vegetable oil. Fry until golden brown.
