   Pour 1 pint of starter into a glass gallon jar.

   If no starter is available, substitute 1 1/2 cups brandy or mixed fruit juice. Add sliced peaches (cut each slice into 4 pieces).

   Add juice.

   Add cups sugar.

   Stir each day for 10 days.

   Cover the jar with a saucer and leave at room temperature.

   Do not cover with lid or refrigerate.
