Ingredients
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1 lb. lean meat, thinly sliced 3/16 to 1/4-inch thick
Directions

1In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except meat.

2Stir to mix well.

3Place meat 3 or 4 layers deep in a glass stoneware, plastic or stainless steel container, spooning liquid smoke mixture over each layer.

4Cover tightly.

5Marinate 6 to 12 hours in the refrigerator, stirring occasionally and keeping the mixture tightly covered.

6Place in oven at 200° until desired dryness or crispness, approximately 2 to 3 hours.

7Makes 1/4 pound jerky.
