  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 unbeaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. dates, cut in pieces
  • 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Sift together flour, soda and salt.

    Cream butter.

    Gradually add brown sugar.

    Cream well.

    Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients gradually.

    Stir in dates and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet.

    Bake in oven at 375° for 10 to 14 minutes.

    Frost while warm.
