  • 3/4 c. soft butter
  • 3/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. cold coffee
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1 c. whipped cream, sweetened
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1 c. Kahlua, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. powdered sugar

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325°.

    Cream butter and sugar; add cocoa and egg yolks.

    Dissolve soda in water and combine with coffee and 1/2 cup Kahlua.

    Add to batter alternately with flour.

    Add vanilla and fold in beaten egg whites.
