Frozen Mashed Potato Casserole

Ingredients

  • 5 3/4 c. water
  • 9 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 7 c. instant potatoes (or use boiled potatoes)
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Put first three ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil. Stir in instant potatoes.

    Add cream cheese and sour cream.

    Mix with mixer.

    Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan and a 9 x 9-inch pan.

    Fill with potato mixture.

    Freeze if you want to use later, or bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on and continue baking until cheese melts.

    Serve.
