Frozen Pie Crust

- 5 lb. all-purpose flour
- 3 lb. solid shortening
- 3 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 c. white corn syrup
Directions

1Cut shortening into flour (in a dishpan or other large container).

2Dissolve salt in water and mix into flour along with the syrup.

3Divide dough into portions for 1 crust, shaping each portion into a ball.

4Place balls in individual vapor-proof bags (such as Ziploc that can be sealed) and freeze.

5When ready to use, thaw and roll out on floured board. This is just as good after it has been frozen as before and does not get soggy.

6It takes time to mix, but it is worth the trouble.

7Makes approximately 20 single crusts.
